◎ 특성
적색의 줄기와 잎맥은 밝은 녹색잎과 대조를 이루어 아름다우며
관상용으로도 좋습니다.
쏘렐 특유의 톡 쏘는 향이 나며, 온실과 터널 재배에 알맞음
품종입니다.
적소렐은 국내 들판에도 볼 수 있는 '수영'과 같은 종류의 식물로, 잎에는 비타민 A, B1, C를 함유하고 있는데, 특히 비타민C가
풍부하여 과거에는 괴혈병 예방에 쓰이기도 하였습니다.
◎ 재배 및 이용
왕성하게 자라는 식물로 봄가을 파종이나 포기나누기로 쉽게
재배가 가능합니다.
어린잎을 샐러드, 샌드위치, 스프, 소스등에 이용할수 있는데
건조보관이 안되므로 식초를 만들어 드레싱이나 생선요리에
사용하기도 합니다.
